i'm so excited to say that my kits arrived today for the classes i taught in dc
at the fabulous get croppin event...
they will go up for sale starting tomorrow via my Etsy shoppe!
I will post here with a link when they are ready to go...
i've had lots of emails about these, so i'm excited they are
finally getting ready to sell! keep in mind, they are one-of-a-kind
and won't be reproduced again--it's a one time only thing. :)
all kits have patterns and instructions included, and purchase of kit gives
you access to a private online resource with detailed images and steps.
there will be:
1. "message in a matryoshka" russian doll mini-album:
a [4.5"x8"] 7-page shaped mini-album with a russian doll theme. totally kitchy funk
going on here...texture, softness, and pretty pieces combine to make a truly
original album. apron comes pre-sewn by me to save you time, and the shaped covers
are made from a special stiffened felt. Doll-shaped template included with instructions
and a special online resource will be provided with detailed images. $35
2. "because i felt like it" needle felting kit and more:
learn the technique and apply it to page embellishments. kit comes complete
with page supples for 2 12x12 layouts, a gift/card, and a pendant necklace.
lots of wool and felt to play with, patterns & instructions included. online
resources also available for detailed images. $35
3. "fits to a tee" canvas + mini-album class:
the key to this class is the 'green factor'...the idea of repurposing things to
make better use of them and honor them as a part of your life. so dig out
that old teeshirt in your drawer...you know, the one you're saving because of
the memories...and get ready to shed some light on it's story!
you will get the kit at a reduced price, since i will sell them withOUT a canvas,
giving you the chance to 1. pay less postage, and 2. buy the size you want for
the shirt you have to use. there will be patterns & instructions included. online
resources will also be available for detailed images. $25
you should see some of the cool canvases from our class....every one was so individual, and had such
a great story to tell! it was awesome...and sharing our "stories" about our shirts turned out to be a really
emotional moment in class...there were so many goosebumps and misty eyes! lol :)
aren't those awesome?!
i ended up having the pleasure of hand-lettering quite a few titles on album covers...it was so fun! i may offer that as an option with the kit sales, too. :)
anyway, if you're interested, be back tomorrow (thurs mar 6) for links and details! :D
